Overview

EO Care set out to create a new model for medical cannabis—one that’s grounded in clinical expertise and accessible through a modern, digital platform. While cannabis has proven potential to ease chronic pain, anxiety, and sleeplessness, users often lack clinical guidance and continuity of care. EO Care fills this gap with a physician-guided experience that helps patients understand, track, and evolve their treatment plans over time.

Strategy and Planning

We began by aligning around a shared goal. Building a care model that feels responsible, not recreational. Through experience briefs, journey mapping, and collaborative workshops, we helped the EO team clarify their brand positioning and lay the groundwork for a digital experience that supports trust, transparency, and clinical credibility.

What impressed me the most was altr’s strong desire to go above and beyond and achieve real excellence in visual design. I’ve found that there can often be an inclination for designers to default to the easiest solution or to the one that’s easiest to implement within the Apple dev kit, which ultimately leads to a very basic, undifferentiated experience. This wasn’t the case at all with altr — they were really passionate about making something that looked beautiful and behaved in beautiful ways..”

Design Execution

We refined and expanded EO’s initial MVP, developing a new mobile app that is clean, personal, and intuitive. The updated UI improves clarity around product recommendations and helps users stay engaged with their care. From dosage tracking to symptom journaling, every screen supports better day-to-day planning and more meaningful feedback loops between patient and physician.

Outcome

The new EO Care platform supports a more consistent, informed approach to cannabis care—whether users are just getting started or are seasoned patients. With improved user engagement, clearer communication, and a more trustworthy brand, EO Care is leading the way in responsible cannabis treatment.
